Severus

It’s Friday the 13th, and the Severus quilt pattern is HERE!

Featuring my favorite seasonal migrators, the Severus quilt is the perfect addition to your fall decor.  While this design is perfectly geared for a classic Halloween palette, it can be easily adapted to use general autumnal colors for a more broad appeal.

This pattern is best for the intermediate quilter who enjoys piecing curves.  Severus is a traditionally pieced design that transforms the classic Drunkard’s Path motif into a sleek, modern design perfect for post-Trick-or-Treating snuggles!

Releasing this pattern on Friday, October 13th definitely felt on theme, but created an obvious dilemma: is it possible for quilters to transform their pattern into a finished quilt by Halloween? My answer is YES!

The large blocks and efficient construction included in the pattern make this quilt a relatively quick finish. I made this graphic as a fun way to walk through finishing your Severus quilt just in time for All Hallow’s Eve:

I can’t wait to see your Severus quilts! I would love to see and share your work - be sure to tag me on Instagram @dreamlandquilting, and use the hashtags #severusquilt and #dreamlandquiltpatterns so I will see your beautiful bats!

Thanks for being here!
