Quilted with Love: Create Cozy with 8 Quilt Patterns perfect for Valentine’s Day!

From classic heart motifs to more subtle themes on love, this curated list of quilt patterns is perfect for beginner and seasoned quilters alike!

January has passed, and I have already been seeing hearts everywhere! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, it feels like the perfect time to round up a few of my favorite themed quilt patterns to share with y’all!

  1. Home Heart

I have been itching to make a Valentine’s Day version of my pattern, Home Heart! Based on a traditional schoolhouse block, this beginner-friendly pattern makes a timeless statement in any season. Large scale piecing and efficient construction methods make this project come together quickly.

If you’re not up for a full quilt but are feeling like a smaller project is in order, you can snag the mini quilt pattern here for a sweet wallhanging or table topper!

2. Lovelace

The Lovelace quilt pattern from The Dandy Patch is what heart-shaped dreams are made of! This sweet pattern features four different sized hearts, all with slightly different construction methods. I have personally made this pattern, and LOVED every second of seeing these blocks come together!

In addition to being just plain fun to make, Mandy’s pattern includes TONS of options for color ways and sizes. There is even a jumbo block version that I’m dying to try soon!

3. Linden’s Joy

The Linden’s Joy pattern from Crafty Moose Quilts is a quick, modern make with such a vibrant feel! The original feature block is the gorgeous rainbow gradient heart and is a great stash busting project.

Although the original heart feature block is an obvious choice for Valentine’s Day, Ann also offers several different patterns for the feature block in her shop to make this a perfect pattern for any occasion!

4. Heartbeat

Nobody does sweet, modern design quite like AbbyMaed. Abby’s Heartbeat quilt pattern released just last month, and it is just stunning! Pictured here is the ombre 5-color version, but the pattern also includes an option for a 2-color version.

One of my favorite things about Abby’s patterns is how she includes so many options in a pattern. This pattern includes a mini size option, which would be the perfect quick project for a pillow cover or wallhanging!

5. Hearts Aglow

In a move surprising no-one, I’m going to recommend a second Abby Maed pattern, Hearts Aglow!

This is a sister pattern to one of her best sellers, Twinkle Lights, and is such a joy to make! This is a project that can easily come together in a weekend, and would be a GREAT beginner pattern!

I made a few of the Hearts Aglow blocks and turned them into mug rugs that I gifted to a few special Valentines last year. It was a great way to use a few scraps around the sewing room!

6. All My Love

The All My Love Quilt pattern from Bay Avenue Studio is such a fun one! It is a beginner-friendly pattern that comes in a throw size. How great are those cover quilt colors?

As a fun little bonus, Claudia has a pillow extension pattern that will show you how to make this adorable coordinating lumbar pillow. What a great pick for a quick Valentine’s Day quilty project!

7. Love Check

If you have a thing for checkerboard patterns and hearts, Love Check from Cream City Studio is the pattern for you! Kristina’s pattern includes instructions for three sizes in yardage and scrappy color options.

One of the size options is for a wall hanging, which I think would make such an adorable table-topper! This design takes me right back to those black and white Vans sneaker days, and I am here for it!

8. Love Notes

For those of us looking for a more subtle take on love, this Love Notes quilt pattern from Remi Vail Studio is begging to be made. Tamara’s sweet take on the fuzzy feeling of receiving a hand-written note is a timeless way to remember those we love.
